John Whinstone Lennon born during German air raid in WW2. John Lennon achieved fame in four different ways. John Lennon is best known for four things.
John Lennon’s Early LifeJohn Lennon lived in Liverpool England for some time with his parents Alfred Lennon and Julia Stanley. John’s Early LifeHis mother worked first as a server, then as a homemaker after John was born. His dad worked as an hotel bellhop. John’s childhood had been relatively happy. However, he suffered some emotional difficulties when his parents split up when he reached the age of 4. He was forced to move in with his Aunt who taught him banjo and ukulele. John enjoyed being a prankster and getting in trouble at school. His teacher said he was a terrible student and that he should go to a performing arts school because he was talented and motivated. This definitely influenced who he is today, as Performing Arts College gave him the experience, diploma and talent he needed for his music career.
AdulthoodAfter John Lennon finished his studies at Liverpool School of performing Arts, he began working as a Canteen Worker at Liverpool Airport. This airport was later renamed John Lennon International Airport in tribute. Paul McCartney helped him pursue his dream of becoming a musician. When he was older and started pursuing it, he also met George Harrison. The Beatles have sold up to one billion records and 600 million of them were hit songs written by McCartney and John.
John had joined the Beatles in 1964, but soon split with them as he wanted to be his own artist. John worked hard to become a solo artist and released several albums. However, his biggest hit was Imagine.
John, during his career as a solo artist, became a peace-activist. He stood up for human rights to peace and for peaceful political activism. The time was WW2 when there were black protests against racism. He was standing by his principles, he was shocked at what had happened to the world. His song Imagine was a message of equality and unity, that all people are human, regardless of race, colour, weight or country. The world was seen in a whole new light.
John Lennon’s Main Point: Why is He Great? He was great for many reasons, such as his positive and powerful message through music. He changed the way people think and how they view things.
Conclusion: John Lennon’s Impact on the WorldFor many, John Lennon has been a genius. Not only was he known for his music; he also sent a message to the whole world. John Lennon has influenced many with his music and his political views and opinions, as well as his lyrical knowledge. For me, music is my life purpose. The music that John Lennon composed and his piano were what first made me feel moved. John Lennon’s tale of his rise from the lower ranks to the upper ranks made me want to do the same for myself. It made me feel confident and inspired me.
